I'm pretty sure they still have both the reissues at my toysrus in alrington heights. I'm going to go check my wal-mart in mt prospect and i'll see if they have anything for you guys. I don't collect armada so anything i see i will tell u guys and hide if necessary. If you're into he-man and live in the chicagoland area, please check out this thread, they've been very helpful, even with transformers and other toylines! They also have a motu club going, and if u don't like motu, pretend u do and ask about transformers ;) jk don't do that.

I found 1 Dinobots pack at Wal-Mart in the NW burbs. It is the Triceradron/Slapper pack. I was going to pass on these, but witht he cool G1 like colors and 2 for $10 I couldn't pass them up. Hopefully I'll find the other two sets today....

I just checked Fairview Hieghts and the Bell West K-mart with no luck, I did, however, order unicron from Walmart.com. Came out to about 56-59 bucks and it is supposed to be delivered between 7-31 and 8-06. Let me know if you guys find the new Maxcons, minicons, or Tidal wave on the shelves.

I saw a Powerlinx Hot Shot, Thrust, and Cyclonus in a Target in Illinois today. I looked on the back of one of the packages just to see what others might be listed on the back and saw a Cheetor, but there was no Cheetor in stock. What's the deal with that? Is he being released with the rest of the Armada Transformers that have minicons with them? If so, what's his minicon? Is it another recolored minicon like the other Beast Armada Transformers' minicons? I also finally saw Wheeljack in a K-Mart. I've seen Airazor for a few days; but I'm having to cut back on spending, so I haven't bought either of those. I've seen Unicron too, but he's way too overpriced for me. If someone wants to just sell me the minicon to him, that'd be nice.

About a week ago I was able to find both Jhiax...Jiha...The Jetstorm repaint, as well as Megabolt at the Westfield Fox Valley K-B toys. There were also a couple of both figures at the Toy Works in Bolingbrook as of last Friday.
I still have yet to see Alternators anywhere, Though I've heard from a reliable source that this area won't see them til after the new year....Here's to hoping they are wrong

BTW..It took only one post, my first post, on these boards to make me a liar...I FOUND SMOKESCREEN at the Oswego Target. I picked up the last 2 on the shelf, along with 1 tidal wave, 1 Ultra Magnus, and 1 Jetfire. There were still a bunch of each Energon figure, but someone else must have grabbed the other two Smokies before I got there. They were merchandised by the Regular TF's (though the other two could have been by the cars...I was just so happy to have ended my search, I didn't look) So FINALLY keep an eye out for Alternators in the Chicago Suburbs.

Savoy (Champaign), IL Wal-mart had 2 Energon Prowl's and 1 Rodimus when I got there plus all the other Energon stuff. Now there's still a Prowl there. Go get it Dojatron!!!

I swear, Hasbro is really impressing me with their distribution lately. When the first Alternator Smokescreen was sighted at some Target on the west coast and Colorado, the very next day I found him here. Energon has been great too. I think the first Rodimus/Prowl/Snowcat sightings were yesterday in California also. Weird how there was no Snowcat here in my batch.

Edit: My Rodimus comes with the volume 1 minicomic.

I saw the exact E. Ultra Magnus numerous times. The reason why no one wants it, is because it's beat up. The first, and only, time I every saw the figure, was at that Target. They had two the first time (mine and the beat up one). A few weeks later, they got two more E. Ultra Magnus, for a total of 3, but the 2 better boxes ones were also bought.

In case anyone wants to know, this past weekend almost every store around the Rt. 59 area had both versions of Energon Unicron.

They had about 5 Smokescreens there, and I put the one Sideswipe behind all of them and under one of them, to help out (not sure that will actually help). Also, Universe Tricertron (or whatever his name is) found too at the same Target and also at Meijer on Rt 59 in Aurora. Universe Skywarp seems to be somewhat rare, since I only saw one today and picked him up

I was only gonna buy one for now, but the woman who packed him at the checkout basically stuffed the box in the bax and bent it up bad...I was pissed....so sorry fellow oswegites, I picked up the other one to keep for collecting. Hey Hey, I actually found a figure that few have yet. I found Energon Landmine today (well, 11:15pm 2/3/04) at the Plano Super Walmart. It literaly had just been placed on the shelf when I turned into the TF Isle.
Weird though, I find Landmine the day after the first sightings, but still havent seen hide nor hair of Rodimus, Prowl,and the other Wave two's, and they've been spotted for weeks now.
Oh well, I'm happy for now, Got Sideswipe, got Landmine, got Brave Maximus, and Got MP-01, I should be good for a while.

I pointed that out to the management (not like it will help though). But I swear if I find the asshole that is doing this he has a serious beating coming his way. Well Today was a good day for Transformers hunting in the Aurora Area. As of 4:30, Target of Oswego restocked thier 20th Anniversary Prime (again only 1, but it is a restock) and had Landmine. Montgomery's K-Mart had Landmine. Wal-mart on Rt. 59 had restocked thier Landmine (4 scorponoks and 1 landmine on the shelf, w/2 scorpies for every 1 Landmine in the cases, this might be the last one they have for a while) and there were also 2 Sideswipes. But the Biggest find of all, (at least for me) was at the Meijer on rt. 59 in Aurora, they had Landmine as well as PROWL, RODIMUS, and SNOWCAT. Sorry friends but I picked up the only Snowcat on the shelf, But there were still some Prowls and Rodimuses...Uh, Rodimii...Uh, What is the plural of Rodimus anyway....well there were some of those left too. No wave 2 Basics, but I'm not complaning any more........for now

I didn't see any posters, But I have to admit, I havn't even looked at the postings about the posters, so I don't know what to look for in the box. It looked exactly the same as the Grey Gun Version I've seen at Target (except the Gun of course), so unless the poster is VERY obvious, I couldn't tell you.
BTW, I am so proud of myself, I went overbaord and bought the expensive Masterpiece version of Convoy 2 months ago, and it was REALLY hard to bypass the Black Gun Prime for almost Half the Price. I have very little money left right now...so passing on a beautiful figure like that is an accomplishment. I also have two previous versions of Ruination, so I was proud of myself again for passing that up as well.

I did pick up a Ruination, and didn't really pay much attention, but the Ruination, has a more show accurate combiner parts (looks like the same color as the bootleg version). That makes 3 Ruinations for me, bootleg, Arctic and Tiger. I need my tax return back, or get a new/former job back so I can pick up the Mini-Con packs, 20th Prime and Megatron.

I went to The Walmart in Plano, and on one of the 9 primes I saw there, There was a little silver sticker that said poster included. So if that is the difference, then the ones on 59 don't have the poster.

OH MY GOD!!!! Today while doing my hunt for new Transformers (the new Ramjet, etc...) I went to the Aurora Toys R Us and they had a Huge Clearance booth set up. There were toys there from all the way back to the Early 80's at BARGAIN prices, 1rst Series Power Rangers, Jem, Rainbow Brite(the 1rst run) He-Man...and low and behold, they had a couple ORIGINAL G1 Transformers...the boxes seemed to be pretty messed up, but from what I could tell, all the parts and pieces were included and pristine.
I picked up a Pretender Jazz and Pretender Grimlock, 3 of the 6 Decepticon combiner Pretenders, (Slog, Icepick, and Birdbrain), A broken, but repairable Springer, and, Missing only Spike, A G1 Fortress Maximus. The whole Haul was only $73.56. (FM was only $35...DAMN!!!)
There are more figs there, some missing weapons, some complete, some broken...but for G1 who cares....
Man, I totally would have gotten that Transforming G1 Arcee if only the arm hadn't been broken AND missing.

Some nice finds today.

The Meijer's in Algonquin have the Wave 3 basics in stock. I grabbed one Arcee and Insecticon. There was at least one Insecticon left on the riser. There may be an Arcee, but the stacks were hard to reach and see. They also have the newest (and supposedly) last wave of HOC. They also had a Universe Skydive or two. No new stuff at the Elgin Meijer's.

The Target in Algonquin had a King Altas. They don't now ;)

No clue. I haven't been to that one before. If I had to make a guess, 50/50. I saw them at one today, but not the other. Also, the odds go down the longer you wait to go (assuming they don't get more cases in stock).

Nothing really new. Just a status update. Almost nothing at the Higgins Rd. Target in Schaumburg. Out of Energon deluxes, almost out of Universe deluxes. Low on everything but Super Asst Prime, 20th Prime, and E-basics.

TRU on Golf Rd. in Schaumburg has more of the new re-issues (Dirge and Rodimus Prime) in stock. Universe Ramjets are currently out of stock.

Two King Atlas'es at the Target on Dundee Rd in Palatine.

Also, the Wal*Mart on Mt. Prospect Road and Rand Road in Mt. Prospect seems to be the only place in the area with Energon Megatron. They also have the exclusive Energon #19 cover that seems to have disappeared from other Wal*Marts.

Again, Not much of a sighting, but I went to the Meijer in aurora cuz SSJ said they had the Mini-con Tiny-tins. I just wanted to check 'em out. I found all 3 of em. But I also found a mispackaged 4th tiny tin. Mirage was the toy, and the outer slip of the tin showed his picture, but the inner part of the tin was that of Downshift...SWEET ERROR PACKAGE

Nothing new, per se, but the KB in Stratford Square Mall in Bloomingdale has about two complete sets of the G1 Spychangers. The Toys R Us in Bloomingdale has about 10 Ramjets. The Target in Bloomingdale has two King Atlas'es.

about three or 4 weeks back I bought the one Arcee and Insecticon from the Aurora Meijers. I also checked the Bolingbrook Meijers the next dayand they had both figs...so if you guys didn't pick those two up there, some other transfan in the area got em...Usually as soon as I see a limited quantity type post, I try to get to the location asap. I also try to post limited quantity posts too. Keep the eyes out :wink:

The only place they've been sighted thus far in the state is at Meijer's, and that was a few weeks ago. I don't know if they'll have any more in stock. Although it would still be a moderate drive, you might want to check out the Meijer's in Bollingbrook or Aurora

I bought 2 Arcee's from the Algonquin Meijer. There were none at the McHenry Meijer. The new Meijer in Rolling Meadows has one Arcee sitting on the pegs. And a bazillion Skydives. The store won't be open for another month, though. By then Arcee will probably be easy to find.

Actually, having gone back today to the Aurora Meijers, they still don't seem to have any of the most recent waves of energon (Though they have Buttloads of the previous waves) But they HAVE JUST TODAY stocked up on Wave 5 Heroes of Cybertron figs. All six figs were present when I left today.

Demolishor hits the northwest suburbs! Picked up the only one at the Wal*Mart on Rand Road and Mount Prospect Rd. in Mount Prospect. It also appears that he was at the Wal*Mart on Golf and Algonquin in Rolling Meadows, but was picked up by someone else. The Rolling Meadows one also restocked with four more E-Megatrons.
