Welcome back- man the boards had to go disappear just when we were getting a good group going in here;)

Anyways, when last we checked in, we were lucky enough to be amongst the first fine folk to score Jetfire at most West Coast Targets

And Wave 3 Supercons had shown up at TrU and Target

and Wave 3 Minicons were at Wal*marts and Targets

now, we had one report of Wave 3.5 (Adventure team) minicons at the lynnwood Wal*Mart

So, i've seen reports of Urban Camo Ruination showing up in CA Wal*Marts
-anyone find 'em up our way?

I saw the Adventure Team @ Wally-World in Lynnwood. I wasn't that impressed when I first saw them, so I picked up the Space @ Race Team. Or was it the Speed Team....which ever team has the 3 super articulated cars :)

Yeah, I saw the new Ruination at Walmart in Lynnwood as well this weekend. I am really liking this set - the color scheme, apps, etc. Too bad I didn't have any money to buy 'em though.

Actually, I was on a mission to find those damned Adventure Minicons or Jetfire!!! Artiepants, those Jetfires must "fly" off the shelves the morning they are put out because I have checked that Lynnwood Target now almost everyday last week and not one Adventure Team or Jetfire was found!

On weekdays, I can't check it out until after 5pm when I get home from work and this last weekend, I got there about 4pm in the afternoon. Maybe I need to be there right when they open or something! Finally, two more questions I have for each of you who live in WA:

1) Where exactly do each of you live? How old are you and is there a way to hook up and have a little "search party" and talk some transformers???

2) Do any of you work??? :confused: It sounds like all of you are able to go and check out these stores early in the day on the weekdays!!!

yeah - I'm A graphic Designer - I work a regular 40-hr work week in woodinville, which makes for an easy blitz up to lynnwood for lunch (I get an hour break) and we've got a target here in Woodinville, and there's a Fred Meyers on my way home...

Found the Urban Camo Ruination set at the Puyallup Wal*Mart - there are five there. I couldn't bring myself to buy it, even though I really like the color scheme. The same store also had the new Mirage-Bot and Speed-Bot II Go-Bots. They are in-between the price points of the basics and the Aero-Bot brothers ($11.73 or something like that)

The Lakewood Target had the new 50pc puzzles of Smokescreen, Red Alert, Perceptor, and Cyclonus.

Well I LIVE in Woodinville (I've never run into Artie though), so I visit the Target on a regular basis.
I deliver papers at night so I'm usually awake in the mid-afternoon.
And I've been 27 now for 11 days :D

Well, the Cybertronian Conference is Greg Gaub's Yahoo-based TF club of sorts. The past few years, those of us in "the know" got together at greg's house during BotCon Saturday and had a good time. We went on toy runs, ate pizza and barbecue, played video games, chatted with people online at BotCon, etc.

My first time at one of these was in 2001 and it was a blast. The turnout was low (about 5 or 6 of us total), but we had a great time. However, I thought it would be prudent to have an exclusive toy. So, with help from Zobovor of ZMFTS! (http://members.aol.com/zobovor/) fame, we created G1 Scavenger from BM Scavenger. So, this year we want to make things better than ever. We're not holding it on BotCon Saturday and actually renting a hall in Auburn (since that's where Greg lives) and hoping to get some of the toy/import/comic dealers in the area to attend. Never having been to the Tri-Citis, I couldn't say. Auburn is between Tacoma and Seattle (more Tacoma really). So, if I'm looking at the map right, it might be a couple hours drive for you.

I live in the car-theft capital of the USA - Tacoma, WA. I'm going on 31 years young. As for getting together, might I suggest CybCon as mentioned by mysef earlier.

I'm 31, and live in Auburn, WA, about halfway between Seattle and Tacoma. If you know where Federal Way is, Auburn is on the other side of I-5. :)
I'd love for everyone here to tell their friends who might be interested, online or otherwise, about the CybCon 2k3 gathering. If enough people show up this year, we can plan for it to be even bigger next year.
By all means, bring toys to sell and trade. We're not charging for tables or anything this year, so if it gets big, you'll want to take this free action while it lasts, 'cus it's not free for me and Richard, I'll tell you that. ;-)
I'm really hoping that cool next-gen console TF game is out by this summer, so we can all check it out on my PS2 that I'm bringing for gaming.
I was thinking Richard's suggestion of joining my mailing list wasn't the best idea, but in fact, it probably is. I don't want to start a separate list for the convention just yet, so until next yet, joining my CybCon group is the best way to go. Just be sure to pick "special announcements only" instead of "no mail/web only" so that you get my special announcements about the CybCon convention/gathering (whatever ;-).

It's nice to know there are more fans in the area. The hardest part is tracking you guys down. Did you know there's a Transformers-Tacoma yahoo group someone made a long time ago? It's dead as far as I can tell, since no one replies to my ocassional posts. But it would sure be cool if we could all work together to canvas the TF community to find all the fans in the area that might want to come, and make this a local convention to remember!

It is good to know that Jetfire continues to be showing up at Northgate. Lynnwood should be right behind then! Thanks Artiepants! I am surprised by all of the area's transfans' ages! I am 24 so I feel like the young kid in the group! I have this feeling when we get together, we are going to have the time of our lives! Definitely a great escape from everyday life. Just checked out the Lynnwood Wal*Mart and Target as well as the Northgate Target and Toys R Us yesterday. Here is the breakdown on their current stock:

Lynnwood Wal*Mart: Same ol' shit (SOS) mini-cons (Destruction, Land Military, Race Team) and some Wave 1 Supers. No Megatrons, Optimus's, Scavengers, Red Alerts, Starscreams....NOTHING!!! Not even the new Ruination Gift Set!

Lynnwood Target: Pretty much the same. SOS. They did have an Super Optimus Prime and Megatron. But that was it. At least they had the new TMNT there...I picked up a few :D

Northgate Target: At this point, my search was becoming rediculous!!! Once again, only wave 1 minicons filled about six pegs and three pegs filled with wave 1 supercons. No Megas or bigger. Truly pathetic...

Northgate Toys R Us: Umm...well, the guy here who I always see (short, big belly, dark long hair in a pony tail with a mustache) was there dissing the transformers section when I arrived. EVEN HE WAS PISSED that the distribution center hasn't sent him DICK SQUAT!!! He said he hasn't seen any G1 Prime or Hot Rod re-issues in TWO MONTHS!!! Pretty much wave 1 mini-cons on 12 pegs, with Laserbeak's and demolishers on the 8 other pegs. Oh yeah, and about twenty G1 Re-issue Ultra Magnus's and RID AAOP's!!! By far the WORST Toys R Us in the Northwest.

Needless to say Artie, I did not find what I was seeking - Adventure Team and Jetfire. I don't think I will ever find them here around Seattle...:cries

Try your local Wizards of the Coast stores. The ones in Tacoma and Puyallup had Brawn and Windcharger heavilly in stock in December.

Action City Comics in Federal Way had them at one time too, though they were more expensive there. Jim's good people though, so I didn't mind paying the extra money at the time. That was before I found them at Wizards though.

The Puyallup Wal-Mart is completely out of Ruinations. All they had the last time I went in were a bunch of Megatrons. While I already have it, I hope they restock Ruination so others have a chance to get it.

Say, artie, where will we be able to pick up your band's CD? Don't hurt yourself snowboarding. :) Also, CybCon is in July, not August. So, hopefully, that helps you out.

Aaaaaand as a newlywed myself, all I can say on your egtting married, outside of "Congratulations!" is either get a wedding coordinator or elope. Planning your own wedding and reception is a pain in the arse. Don't expect anything to go the way you intend it to.

As for your wedding Artie and all this craziness going on this year - take it one event at a time. What kind of music does your band play? I got married in August and everything went very smoothly! We did hire a coordinator so as mentioned before - it does help! Any honeymoon ideas yet?

The Tacoma TRU has both the Starscream and Prime w/ Apex Bomber reissues. Four left of Screamer and five of Prime.

Starscreams spotted and bought at Lynnwood TRU. And my buddy that works there, said they probably have some more Apex Armor Prime in the back. I didn't check since I already got the Japanese God Jinrai for under 30 :D

The Target up there, also still had a couple of Jetfires for those looking.

I saw the Optimus Prime and Megatron bobbleheads at the Spencer's store at the Tacoma Mall today. They are $14.99 a piece. Prime looks kinda silly, but Megatron Looked all right. I passed on both being unemployed and all.

The Wal*Mart in Spanaway, WA has the Sea, Night Attack, and Air Assault Mini-Con teams along with Galvatron and Thundercracker. They also have a number of Jetfires as well incase you missed out on them. Also interesting to note is that Galvatron rang up at $18.80, less than the Maxcons.

I felt the same way about Galvy. A nice repaint, but not worth picking up when there are some cool new molds on the way.

No night attack team mini-cons, but I absolutly LOVE the Dark Saber team's colors. Really cool. :thumb: I was a little unimpressed w/ the Sea Team though. Oh well, they'll join that big sea guy when he's released (can't remember his name for the life of me).

Thanks! Well, I woke up this morning with a feeling that there was something new at the Wal*Mart there that wasn't there yesterday. This, compounded by a commercial for new Star Wars figures on Cartoon Network this morning, made it clear to me that something was out there. My feelings are seldom wrong anyway. So, I went there and there were Sideswipe and Thrust.

I think the Spanaway store is just not checked by many people. I forgot to mention that they got in Thundercracker again.

I don't know why these new guys ar eonly one per case. Prime and Blurr have been out for a while now, they should be relegated to one per case IMO.

I found the Sea Team and the Night Attack team at the Factoria Target. For future reference they are ALWAYS a really good target when it comes to getting stuff in, much the same way the Lynnwood Wal-mart always seems to get stuff first.

I got them last weekend, so they probably don't have any left, but they restock often, it seems. They had a Jetfire there for sure if anyone is still looking for that.

Ok, was in West Seattle saturday and decided to wander down to the White Center Target - scored the Air Assault and Night attack Teams - they only had one of each, but they had numerous Sea Teams

Gotta give these repaints props, the detailing of the molds comes through much stronger on the repaint version - and haveing the AAT opaque makes them look very different from the translucent original versions - just don't care for the black Head on (IIRC) Runway - Night attack team is all around excellent and Broadside and Fetch look GREAT on Red Alerts shoulders

The selection there was decent. They had all the current releases as far as Supercons and Gigacons go, Superpants Prime, most of the Mini-Cons, but I didn't really look in depth there.

As for Wal*Marts smelling funny, they usually don't the first couple years that they're open. After that, all the caramel corn that's made there permiates the air, making the smell you likely dislike. :)

So i did a Lynnwood trip on my lunch hour :

Wal mart pretty much had Smokescrean, Scavenger and Sueprbase Prime

Target didn't have much

TrU had a lot, but nothing new ( i really wasn't expecting them too)
They did have the new Conquest X-30, if any ya'll are Joe collectors

they also had the Reissue Starscream and Powermaster Prime, if for some weird reason you don't have/want the cheaper Takara versions

Well I just hit the southern east side today which consisted of:

Factoria Target

Southcenter TRU

Renton Walmart

Renton was TOAST nothing there, but I guess I just missed the goodies according to Vicegrip. Factoria was also bare, but had the Night Attack team and Sea teams still, and SS Target had Galvatrons, but I didn't grab them. Bellevue TRU hasn't had jack in since before xmas when they had Blurr and Supercon Prime.

All of the TRU I went too have the new spytroops figs for any joe fans here....I HIGHLY recommend them.

I went to four Wal-Mart stores in search for the Dinobots today (I didn't know if they were out yet or not). The shelves were picked clean of just about everything except Scavanger. I did see a couple Jetfires at the Spanaway location and one Galvatron at the South Hill location.

Much better paint job than US Starscram, but damn the droopy cockpit sucks!

Scavenger and Demolisher seem to be joining Laserbeak as shelfwarmers in the north

Found Galvatron, Thundercracker and the Sea Mini-Con Team at the Tacoma and Puyallup Target stores as well as the Puyallup TRU. That TRU also had Blurr and Supercon Prime in case anyone still needs those two fine toys.

Demolishor, Smokescreen, Scavenger, Red Alert, Laserbeak, Destruction Team, and Race Team are glogging the pegs and shelves. The Puyallup Wal*Mart is saturated with Land Military Teams. Clearance the suckers already! :)

Just to clarify, The Night Attack team is the Land Military team

are you refering to the Air Military team, which, along with Emergancy team will be out in August (which means mid June-July around here)

Quick review for the first time (for me) an Armada figure actually looks worse in person. Sideswipes Robot mode is a Travesty, it's truly awful!!!:upchuck he'll be living in carmode in my display, jeeeeeeez.

I'd check the Wal*Mart by the Supermall. That's about the only place I know in Auburn that has a chance of having anything remotely current. There is a KB and a Toy Works in the Supermall itself if you want to waste your time. :)

Federal Way has a Target and Wal*Mart near each other off of 314th St, a little ways away from Sea-Tac Mall if you're up for a little drive from Auburn.

Auburn: Super-Base Optimus Prime, Red Alert, Megatron, and Scavenger

South Hill: A well-stocked assortment of Super-Cons, which include Optimus Prime, Blurr, Hot Shot, Sideways, Demolisher, Cyclonus (there may be others as well but I didn't rifle through the racks too much to look). They also had Super-base Optimus Prime and the Land-Attack team mini-cons

Spanaway: If there were Transformers there, I didn't see them. The racks looked empty :(

Still no Wal-Mart Exclusive Dinobots anywhere :( I'm afraid that I might miss them.

Hello fellow Puget Sounders! Sorry I haven't written in a while, but I thought I should share my recent trip last weekend.

I started at the Lynnwood Walmart. I arrived around 11:30am Saturday and practically ran to the toy aisle having this weird feeling that something special was there! I had to fight my way through this family that took up the WHOLE aisle where the Armada stuff was.

Finally after throwing a few elbows and having my big arse knock down some toys from their shelves, I approach the Armada section with eager anticipation. No competition presented itself, but a lot of kids were stalking the toy department so I began to worry.

As I was thumbing through each max-con hanging on the pegs, in the very back was a figure that started with a Th... I pissed my pants and released him from his captive peg!

OK, this was a probably too much information for you all, but you have to understand, I have been looking for Wave 4 figures since the beginning of March and I had finally found one!!! I didn't see any Sideswipes though. I did find a Dark Saber though - last one also. It looked like Walmart got some new stock in that morning. Some kid must've snagged Sideswipe before I got there. Dammit. :mad:

No Dinobots. Mainly Wave 3 Supercons (Prime, Blurr, Sideways, Smokescreen) and Wave 3 Minicons (Space team, Street Speed team, Adventure team, etc.). No Galvatrons, but there were a few Thundercrackers, Red Alerts, Scavengers, and Megs.

I also went to the Lynnwood Target. Pretty much the same selection here. No Target exclusives or Wave 4 stuff yet. I guess it's only a matter of time...I hope!!!

Minicons included the Destruction team, Adventure team, Street Speed team, and Land Military team. Pretty much old stuff. No Jetfires, but they did have some Thundercrackers! As for G1 reissues: How about 2 Silverstreaks and a whole bunch of Powermaster Optimus's!!! No Thundercrackers or Starscreams. I passed up on Silverstreak for the most common reason...not insanity, but rather...lack of mooola due to my previous purchases of Thrust and Dark Saber! :cry

Were starting to fall behind guys! We were almost halfway down page 2!! I guess nobody has been out lately. I just thought I would get things rolling again and share my findings at the Northgate Toys R Us as of yesterday (Tuesday - April 22nd). They had a whole wall full of Armada figures right as you walk in through the entrance! They had all four sizes there - but nothing super new such as Thrust and Sideswipe, mainly supercon Optimus, Smokescreen, Blurr, Sideways, etc. They did have Thundercracker and a few Galvatrons - not many. In addition, if you go to the actual isle where the Transformers typically are, you will find an endcap full of Red Alerts, Thundercrackers, Starscreams, Scavengers, Jetfires, and Megatrons. On the main isle, there were more of the usual supercons and minicons - no Dark Sabers, Sea Teams, or Night Attack Teams.

As for G1 Re-issues, now that was another story! TONS of them! Thundercracker, Jazz, Silverstreak, God Ginrai, and Starscream! Bon a petit!

Anyone find dreadwind/smokejumper inside king county? I've been looking all over... I will post as soon as I find one (hoping it pops up this weekend).

Found Dreadwind and Smokejumper at the Lakewood target tonight. They have four left. Tacoma TRU also has the wave three Commemerative Series in full force, at least ten of each.

Found Dreadwing ans Smokejumper at the Puyallup Target. they had about nine or so this afternoon. They also have the Playskool TFs on a separate end-cap at $4.88 a piece. Mostly present were the many car repaints and one Strong-Bot.

On a side note, how long has the Puyallup Wal*Mart been devoid of Transformers? Well, they do have one Superpants Prime and a whole mess of the Playskool line, but that's it.

In the two stores I've found them at, Puyallup and Lakewood, they've been on the bottom two shelves of an endcap near the action figure aisle along the main aisle. The Giga-Con assortment is on the shelf above them and above those are four pegs filled with Super-Cons. I've noticed not all Target stores are doing this as Lakewood and Puyallup have had this set up for about a week or two now, but the Tacoma store hasn't. The Tacoma Target store does have a Sideswipe and a Thrust along with some Dark Sabers if anyone is still looking for them.

Lynnwood Target has a Endcap of TF items. And PLENTY of the repaints. I also saw Thundercracker, Thrust, and Sideswipe. KB in Alderwood mall also had both Thurst & Sideswipe. TRU in Lynnwood still has plenty of all the current reissues (even Starscream for those who missed him the first time around).

BTW- It's amazing that Artie and I haven't run into each other yet at Target, concidering we're both in the same area....then again who knows maybe we have and not known it! lol

Yeah, it seems like Dreadwind and Smokejumper have pretty much hit saturation up here.....I saw a whole schload of them at the Factoria Target (also got some of the new Spytroops vehicles for anyone interested).

TRU in Bellevue has Reissues out the yinyang......Jazz, Silverstreak, Thundercracker, you name it. PLENTY of them. I haven't gotten them yet, because they are so damn expensive, but I definitely want them.

As for meeting some afternoon for a bite to eat somewhere.....I am usually game on Saturdays. I pretty much just sit home all day waiting for my girlfriend to come home because I am a pathetic bastard who can't think of anything to do by himself. If you guys wanna line something up, I can drive anywhere....but the best places for me are Bellevue, Kirkland, U. Dist. and Downtown Seattle. Just lemme know when everyone is doing something.....

If you like the G2 Hero Prime mold and the Scourge color scheme, he does. Mine has one flaw on it. The small tabs on the bumper that are supposed to fold inside don't. The fold out rather well, so there's not much to complain about except for some extra thigh panneling.

Bludgeon is good. Mine has a problem in that the arms are very floppy at the shoulder joint. They don't stay very well in tank mode. Hopefully, the ones released Stateside will have these problems corrected.

Got Scourge and Bludgeon at Redmond Kaybee (thanks to a post at the allspark). The employee said they sold 3/4 of their stock in one day and had about 1/4 left. He brought out maybe 3 of each. This was at 10am this morning.

after an -- interesting -- day, during which I went to Overlake (on the Bellevue/Redmond line) because that's where qwestdex.com said the Redmond K-Bs was (i wandered around for 1/2 an hour looking for it:mad: ) and then after work arriving at the redmond Town Center K-Bs AS THEY LOCKED THE DOORS:redface I was ready to give up, but something said, dude - go to Lynnwood. so i did. and was rewarded for my perseverence, or something;)

Got Scourge and Bludgeon at the K-B Toyworks up there - after I grabbed my set they had 1 Bludgeon left, so get crackin'

This mold works much better for Scourge than it does for Prime! and I've wanted this mold for a long time (since I learned about G2)

Ah, RiD, I loved you so, and it was nice that you went out with a bang (too bad we couldn't have got the Laser Rods in RiD!:( -- I have little faith that whomever is in charge of the TF:U redecos would do as nice a job as whomever has been in charge of the RiD redecos based on what we've seen...)

Hello all! Just another update. I was in the Puyallup area over the weekend and low and behold, I was able to find Bludgeon and Scourge at the KB Toys in the South Hill Mall!!! They had one Bludgeon left on Sunday morning - I should have picked him up as well and had 2 Bludgeon's, but my financial shortcomings are your gains! It's sounding like they are showing up all over the area at a reasonable rate.

Has there been any confirmation about the Dinobots coming out later this summer?

I want to try and keep the "Getting together" idea fresh in everyone's head! I am really excited about this, but of course, just as I do get excited, my wife decides that we need to start looking for a new house so my weekends for the next month are shot! I will keep you all posted if my schedule happens to change for any reason and would be willing to coordinate the whole thing! The guy I talked to said to check back tomorrow or Monday. Having once worked for Wal*Mart, I know from experience that unless you have access to a Telxon or their computers, you won't know what's coming in at any given time. Even then, they aren't 100% accurate.

Hi. I had a question about Target.. I got a couple of Dreadwing/Smokejumpers at full price in my last trip to WA and now reading they're on clearance. Will Target do a price correction if I just bring my receipt to them? Do they have to be currently in stock for them to do this?

Also, any sighting of WalMart Dinos in Bellingham/Burlington?

Will do. I talked with one of the people that worked in that toy department and he told he that TFs are hard to keep in stock, except for Superpants Prime. Still, with reports form other parts of the country saying these things aren't moving too well, it amazes me that they move so fast out in Puyallup.

Or, you could buy a new one, peel off the clearance tag carefully and return it with the old receipt. Not that I'd advocate such behavior mind you. :)

Seattle transfans HOC Wave 3 is here! Sorry for not posting this sooner but over the weekend I found the following

1. Wallgreens on aurora up past Kmart (forget the street) had grimlock and ironhide. I picked up grimlock and left ironhide
2. Fred Meyer on Lake City Way had a couple of rodimuses and galvatrons. I picked up one of each and left a pair
3. Fred Meyer in Redmond (where my neck of the woods actually is - btw any other Redmond people out there?) had Soundwave and Rodimus. I got the last Soundwave :)

So go get em! They are out there. Since I've got the ones from wave 3 I want I will post any new findings for you all...

Found HOC Wave 3 at the Lynnwood Fred Meyers on Monday night. I know it's a little late, but it doesn't matter cuz I snagged the remaining ones there (Grimlock, Ironhide, and Rodimus). I pre-ordered them from BBTS though, so now I will have 2 extras to keep in their package. The reason it's not 3 is because the Grimlock I bought was missing an arm!!! :cry I wish there was something I could do - like complain to hasbro or have them replace him! I was EXTREMELY pissed!!! :mad:

OK, I'm done venting now. Has anyone up in the north end found any Dinobots yet? I usually check Lynnwood and Marysville. All I need is Grimlock and Swoop/Terrana...whatever his name is. :thumb:

I went ahead and got my Red Alert through Amazon.com and received it almost a week ago. I have the same concern about his stiffness. I also worry about the missle laucher that he has. I can just picture the shoulder clamp breaking if it's not handled right. BTW what did any of you Red Alert owners do with the extra Autobot logo sticker that the instructions don't point out? I went ahead and stuck it on the spoiler.

With the Red Alert, they didn't do any of the cosmetic changes that Takara did, like the blue eyes (I would have liked to have seen the red painted red, but oh well) but they did make the spoiler detachable. I pulled out my almost 20 year old Red Alert from 1985, and the spoiler on the old timer is not removeable.

Love the mold and deco on Rhinox, but miss Transmetaling :(

Found Rhinox, Airrazor, Hoist and Wheeljack at the Redmond Target on the way into work this morning. I only picked up Wheeljack so the others might still be there... :)

On Sat morning, I saw all the new Deluxe TF's at the Woody Target before I headed off to Warped Tour. When I went back tonight though, they were all gone....and so were all the new SW figures that I forgot to tell my roomate about :ev:

The target is in A strip mall right in downtown by the theatre and Borders and Red Robin...

Unh! Woodinville Target comes through AGAIN! I gots me a Tidal Wave tonight! There was another one when I left. Also saw one Wheeljack, a few of each of the Armada beasts including Airazor. Powerlinx Prime and the Supercon Primes with the painted Autobot symbol are also there.

He-Man section for those interested had plenty of Sy-Clones, Prince Adams and Fire Armor Skeletors.

Ninja Turtles had Casey, April and Hun as well as the new Turtle variants.

SCORE. God Tidal Wave rules more then I ever thought!

Darnit. I visited a day or so after that and all the Wheeljack's and Hoist's were gone! :cry

They did have Terrorsaur and Rhinox, but I'm not interested in the animals.

The Kennewick Walmart had a lot of universe, but none of the air military or emergency minicons. The Richland one HAD NO MINICONS AT ALL!!! That really shocked me. But they did have three Powerlinx OP's, one of which I grabbed. He looks niiiiice on Jetfire! :cool:
