The new quote stinks. Therefore it is.
At least they used his old box artwork instead of drawing something new.
The only thing I like about this is his beast mode. The scales look great like that. The robot mode looks plain - maybe the old G1 stickers would make him look a lot better.

Skalor--the first Seacon I ever got. (Sears, I think--possibly the last year they sold TFs there).
G1 colors are way better IMHO. For stickers, there's always Reprolabels---and Deltastar offers both G1 and BWNeo color variations.

You know... three... even two months ago I was all over these when I first heard that 'they're coming'. Now, I couldn't care less about this. I've got better to spend my money on at this point. I'll still probably pick up Nightbeat though... if for nothing else than that kick ass looking comic... the Seacons are rather underwhelming though.

Still on the fence for these, but its nice to see that they aren't gimped out & comes with the weapon stands.

I'm also glad they're getting the stands, colouring's a bit 'unusual', but I'm a sucker for Seacons.
I've avoided joining the club as the overseas rates are extortionate, but may do so to pick these up.

You know, Even though I personally have no interest in this release, I'm glad for all the people who have waited for so long and now get to add this to thier collections.

Aw, man. I was hoping he'd still be "Archerbot"!
EDIT: Y'know, what the hell DOES his quote mean? "Though doubt may be imperfect..."? Bwuh?

I was sort of half-expecting them to use that, as well. Eh, Skalor fits the toy better anyway.

If these Seacons were new characters I would get them. Since they are the old characters, I will wait for the Encore release in G1 colors.

It means Skalor's been drinking, near as I can tell.
The toy does look great, though. I like the G1 colors better, but since I already have the original, I'm looking forward to having this new scheme, too.
So, that shading on his scales...to show how filthy Skalor is? If so, that's fantastic.

But...God Neptune's got no Nautilator. And, you can probably find the Japanese release somewheres.
I dunno...I'd like to get a God Neptune, too, actually. I've got a spare Nautilator that I could repaint, but his color scheme's sorta...blah.
This release isn't quite the full-on psychedelic assault of the originals, but it's heart is in the right place, anyhow.

Its supposed to be an intentional misquotation of some latin phrase.

I like it but the original colors would have been better.

Huh, the original colors would have been nice, I agree.

I love these colors so much more than the original release. I might be in the minority, but these figures look fantastic together.

I certainly agree. The G1 colors do have their charm and I love them, but honestly they are a bit pastel/Easter colored. These colors have a lot of dark highlighted with some bright accents, much more "bad"/evil/threatening looking. The God Neptune color scheme is a nice idea, but really it's poorly executed, lacking almost any detail: not the G1 stickers and not the the more detailed paint apps/sprays/washes on the Universe/Club/Classic version.

Nothing would stop them giving Nautilator a God Neptune style recolor.

Man, I don't care what anyone says, my enthusiasm for these Seacons hasn't dampened one bit. Bring 'em on!
