Uh, this isn't really TF related, but what's this "Wolverine and the X-Men" crap? Last time I checked, Wolverine was a member of the X-Men. I do like that TFA Decepticon set-up, though.

Cool. I wouldn't mind another chance to get a Classics Megatron to make my own G1 inspired repaint of the mold.

It's the title of the new X-Men cartoon. It doesn't have the best title, but the series looks great so far.

It's simply truth in advertising. Every other member of the X-Men has always been second-fiddle to Wolverine since his introduction. Any attempts to make a different character stand out resulted in convoluted backstories that are best left forgotten in the 90s.

That picture of Megatron....

Somebody needs to shop all the Universe artwork so that all the bots and cons are facing in the same direction and looking at something amazing.

Thanks =)

I would like to to mention that the big MOTU statue is not of King Randor but of King Grayskull (first mentioned in the 2002 cartoon series as the ancestor of Prince Adam, whos power is contained in the sword).

can't imagine they'd commission new art in that style if they weren't at least considering it. I'm actually kinda surprised they haven't announced him and Prime being put in the Uni Voyager line (they'd be hella better than everything announced so far)

My brother would sure love that. Megatron is only 1 of 3 (Cliffjumper & Prime/Megs 2-pack (which is getting re-released for KB Toys)) that he needs to complete the Classics line.

I managed to snag my Classics Megatron when he appeared in stores, but they soon vanished, only for the shelves to be clogged with Primes and Jetfires all the way to the debut of movie figures. My brother never found himself a Classics Megatron, this would be great for him.

Wasn't said at Botcon 2007 that Classics Megatron, released as he was 2 years ago couldn't be released like that now due to even stricter rules? I remember someone saying that.

I don't remember anything about Classics Megs from all the Botcon threads. It doesn't sound like it's something they would say. As it was when the designed Megs they wanted to stay as far away from breaking any of the toy restrictions, so it would make sense that if they are stricter, that it could still pass as something they could sell at mass retail. I personally don't see how they wouldn't be able to re-release him, though a part of me can't see them doing it anyways.

Huh, I did not know that. I'm kinda curious how Classics Megs violates the toy restrictions. I'm not sure how anybody could confuse him for a real gun. Especially with the colors on him, let alone the shape of him. Kinda odd that they would go and get box art made for a toy that they now can't sell.

Sounds familiar, but I remember the statement being in relation to a proposed day-glo colors attempt to reissue Gen 1 Megatron, which was thankfully scrapped.

As in "This was what we had to do to get G1 megs on shelves then, and now even THAT's not enough!"

It was at Botcon 2008. I don't remember weither it was the Saturday Hasbro panel or the Sunday Designers panel in response to a question. I don't remember what the question was, maybe something about a more g1 color scheme for classics Megatron. They replied that the laws were even tougher now and not even the classics deco could be released now.

Some state laws say that if an object even has the silhouette of a firearm, it's illegal to possess. It all comes down to whether or not legislation thinks this dude looks like a gun, regardless of color. >.>

Wow, this country gets worse every day.

When I was a kid, I had a toy metal gun, called a 'Bulldog' something or the other, IIRC. This thing could not look more like a real gun. I had this for years, carried it around, played with it, and somehow I managed to not point it at a cop and get shot. And yet today you can't get anything resembling a gun, even if it glows in the dark from the awful colors.

Unbelievable.

Arcee's too far out, she was merely a sketch at Botcon. I'd say Omega Supreme, Waspinator, Swindle, Wreck-Gar, Skywarp, and Blurr are the ones we're most likely to see, if those.

A few things..

Life size Bronze"?" Power sword? I WANT!!!

I'd put my money on, Wolverine and the X-men is a build up to the Wolverine Movie in the works.
-Hey where are the X-Ladies? man this show better not be a sausage fest..

Image united figures? does Hasbro plan on butchering these too?! just like Marvel Legends..

If we don't see some kind of Physical Arcee figure I'm gonna be annoyed.

Why is it that in a country where real firearms are fairly easily obtainable that something that looks like a bloody nerf gun is a big deal?
AR-15 = Good, Super Soaker = Bad
Maybe if Classics Megatron could actually fire bullets it might be ok. perhaps thats the issue here.

Here in Australia Masterpiece Megatron was banned but he looked fairly realistic (all be it over sized) but we also have ultra tough gun licensing laws so it's kinda understandable. And there's no way there'd be any sort of problem here with anything that even remotely resembles Classics Megatron, I've seen traffic lights that are less brightly coloured.

Please don't anyone mistake this for anti-gun arguments or something I just find this situation ironic.

Fit For natalie

Its probably because in a nation where real guns can be fairly easily obtained legally, it is more likely for kids to somehow get their hands on real guns, hence toy guns trying to be as unrealistic as possible if they're from big, lawsuit-fearing companies like Hasbro.

I guess a cop could mistake a toy gun from a real gun easily. Even one as brightly colored as Megatron. Although it would depend on the lighting and the distance between the two.

Or someone could just spray-paint it black and try to hold up a store with it.

I don't really agree with the toy gun laws, but I understand the mentality.
