Hmm, I'm quite impressed by how Stormcloud's head isn't screaming "I'M POWERGLIDE!!!" But I'm really put off by the grey plastic on both Stormcloud and Treadbolt.

Stormloud is actually looking better the more I see him, though the yellow still looks horrible on him, imo. Tread Bolt, while he has an even worse deco than Stormcloud, I'll still get, but to repaint. Hopefully his clear plastic parts won't be too hard to change the color of. In some pics it's looked like a nice red color, but in these and the first pics we got of him, they look more like a rootbeer flavored candy color. Artwork looks nice, too. Not perfect, but nice. Almost makes me want to keep the packaging, lol.

Wow. I REALLY like Storm Cloud. IMO it's a better deco than Powerglide's.

Though Powerglide is my priority one, if Ultras go on sale I'd snatch up Storm Cloud easily.

ugh i wish we never saw stock photos because they looks so great photoshopped and all, then when we see the real deal i am always disappointed. oh well. i like that they are taking more bot mods and making repaints into the CONS and some some vice versa since i dont collect BOTS, make it nice to enjoy the mold that once was a BOT and now a CON. i will still get stormcloud, hes not that bad to me.

I'll get stormcloud but wont put him on the universe shelf. I hate having faction swap repaints in the same line. He will probably go with the movie cons as he is a better representation of the plane from the movie then cybertron wing saber's repaint

Do want both of these. Storm Cloud's color scheme looks great on that mold and he was one of my earliest figures as a Micromaster. Treadbolt is still looking great, nice to see some micromaster love.

The black shoulders REALLY change the feel of the guy. Maybe that's partly the copper instead of brown on his upper arms/legs. I do understand the logic of trying to use less paint to save cash... but why did they change the orange to a yellow? Maybe that is just the lighting, but the orange looked way better, with the same amount of paint. If I do get him, he's definitely getting at least some paint added to the shoulders.

Exactly. I just checked out pics of both Storm Cloud and Powerglide and now I'm def gonna go with the Autobot. The font alone sells it. Plus they should have gone with a purple Con symbol, since Powerglide's is red.

They both look great and I will be adding them to my collection, but shouldn't Micromaster homages be made out of Mini-cons? They just aren't Micromasters if they're Voyagers and Ultras. Hasbro has enough various Mini-cons molds to remake just about every old Micro if they wanted to. (tho I wouldn't mind if they made all new ones) :D
