Kinda surprised there wasn't a thread for this already.
Before anyone asks, this is one of those ones out of China. I did not purchase it in a store. I've also had it a while, which is why I'm surprised there was no thread for it.
The Cybertron Evac review can be found here. (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=90782&highlight=evac)
Since there aren't any changes to the mold and pictures are worth a thousand words... I figure I can make a fairly lengthy review with a couple pics.

And the text-portion of the tour:
Blades is easily my favorite of the uses of the mold. I see it shelfwarming because of the Springer/Ratbat comic pack... But Blades is definitely worth looking at. Definitely a great toy, definitely a great display piece. I bought Evac after I got Blades (because I was so impressed) and I really felt like I had two different figures, with Blades being the better of the two.

I am so looking forward to this. The mold suits Blades far better than it does Springer.

I agree it's an excellent repaint concept (though I would've hoped for a white head and blue face, myself.) Looking forward to getting one.

Too much red for me, but it's still cool!

Now I want this guy, but I already have Evac, so Evac's gotta go.
This is the Evac repaint I was waiting for. No other Copter-bot would be as perfect for this mold as Blades imo, and this is definately proof of that.

"Get over here!" Top work, sir. I shall surely be checking out how you did that as soon as Blades hits the shores of good ol' Blighty.

maybe the chopper mode, but i think the bot mode just screams Springer, and the deco on Blades just leaves a lot to be desired to me.

Somehow, garotte wire, blades and honking big guns say "Blades" to me.:D

Got this figure today and loved it. THe red makes the figure just look more intimidating. Watch you white paint though the red shows through on spots of mine so if your picky be careful.
Also the missle launchers dont point strait up on mine they're kinda lopsided. Is that normal? My evac never had that problem

If I see this guy in stores while I'm hunting for legends and deluxes wave 2 and looks nice I'll pick him up. One way or the other I'm getting the springer + ratbat two pack since I don't have sidways and I love springer's character. If I end up getting both only Springer will be displayed with my collection since the autobots already have a lot of red. (Prime, dlx prime, Cliffjumper, Sideswipe, Ironhide, Jetfire, and to some extent Powerglide)

Saw him today at Target and couldn't resist picking him up. I've always loved the Live Convoy mold and I also have a thing for helicopter TFs.
But MAN this guy is full of love. Possibly my most favorite straight repaint to date.
The ONLY thing I wish they did was make his helmet white and face blue.

Found him this morning, love him to pieces. A white head and chest, and a blue face, might have been nice, but man, it's hard to complain about a figure that is so blaringly, unabashedly, brilliantly RED. I think he's, like, the reddest Transformer I own. Though I do love the touches of black on the arms and thighs.
I always loved the Evac mold (one of my favorites from the Cybertron line) and this deco really does it justice. Who needs the other Protectobots when this guy is so cool on his own?

This got me thinking, if you call heavy load mixmaster and pretend he's still a constucticon, then the first two waves of Universe had 1 Constructicon, 1 Protectobot, 1 Aerialbot and 1 Combaticon. Kinda neat in my book anyways...

Got Blades, and think he looks pretty nifty, but like others, I wish for more white, especially for the head. If it were my choice, I would change out some of the red parts, the ones that on Evac were medium blue-gray. (head, shoulders, much of the engine/missile backpack, winch housing, and the top panels of the vehicle canopy) Change those to white, and paint some more white on the rotor cowling, and the result is a mostly-red chopper with white from the roofline back, and a robot mode with white head and shoulders (and blue face if so chosen)
I may look into updating the paint on Blades, though that mold doesn't disassemble quite as easily as some TFs.

I whole heartedly agree with your comments on the paint apps. He is a nice figure. I think his head is a little too big compared to the other Classics figure.
My missiles don't sit straight either. It looks like the bit of plastic that stop the missiles from folding a full 360 is off alignment. looks easy enough to fix with some glue and bits of plastic.

are there any weak joints ojne should worry about with this mold?

On mine, the tabs that lock the pelvis in place for robot mode don't hold quite as securely as they do on Evac, and may pop loose when moving the legs, but everything else is solid, or at least as good as on Evac.

I got mine today, they are very tight joints.
Originally I was gonna get Silverblah, but I think this guy is better. He has so many neat gimmicks. The transformation is fun and simple.
My only dislikes is how the chinstrap is painted white like the face so he looks chubby from far away and the blades like to fall off either the thing that holds them or just one individual blade. I'm not sure why the blades are removable in the first place. Luckily for the most part they're not loose at least. Also I feel like the tailfin was made out of a cheaper plastic like maybe the stuff lower quality model kits are made of. I feel like they could snap off easily if you tried bending (dunno why you would). Oh and one of the launchers doesn't launch very good, the missile just pops out a little instead of launch. blah... I'm gonna try and open it up and see what's the deal with it...
edit:
Tried open his canon, but can't. the black part makes it hard to open. I even tried submerging the canon in hot water and it still wouldn't open...

I like the duel homage between Blades and Energon Quickstrike, have one sitting in the closet but haven't gotten around to opening him yet.

Actually, the chin-strap is one of the few parts of the head I didn't paint over. :)
