Ravenxl7

This is my fan-fic about my custom character (Raven-XL7) who is basically supposed to be me if I was a Transformer. This first chapter is to basically introduce him and the story. For those who haven't been in my thread about the custom I'm planning, here is the bio I came up for him, and you can click on my sig to take you to my thread where I first posted it. Thanks for looking, and for any comments I get.
One of the few Autobots to be released from the Cybertron Static Spark Ward, Raven-XL7 has been an outcast his whole life. Once the leader of a top-secret special-ops team, he was built with some of the most advanced weaponry and stealth technology known to cybertronian scientists. He's now one of the few Autobots still living in the ruins of old Cybertron, where he has few friends. Due to complications after what is widely known as an "accident", Raven-XL7 has many mental issues. The major one commonly known to humans as "Avoident Personality disorder", is the reason for his isolated habits, and his coldness to fellow Autobots. Because of his very anti-social tendencies, Raven-XL7 has been misunderstood by many of his Autobot comrades, and has been shunned by many of those he would have worked with in the past. There have been a couple Autobots who have been able to befriend him, but even then, they don't know him as well as they think they do. After the multiple years he spent in the special case's wing, and then many years after that in his isolation, he has kept the badges he wore as an Autobot warrior, and the prototype stamps that he gained when he was first built. Raven-XL7 would be a valuable ally to the Autobot Army if others would take him seriously, and would take the time to gain his trust, for he is one of few Cybertronians that could provide valuable info on certain powerful Decepticons, even if he doesn't realize it himself.
Ch. 1- The Beginning
In a remote military lab, two brothers argue over the newest Autobot Special Forces project, and the bots that have contributed towards it.
Jetfire- “I honestly don’t see how you can trust him. Especially when Prime told you how important this project was to the cause.”
Skyefire- “If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a thousand times brother, I don’t need a reason to trust him.”
Jetfire- “Even after he asked you to take all the credit for designing all three of the new bots, and to keep his existence a secret? Sounds really shifty to me.”
Skyefire- “Well, what Prime doesn’t know, won’t hurt him.”
Jetfire- “It might not hurt him, but it could still hurt the rest of us.”
Skyefire- “Trust me, I’ve already looked over the schematics. Everything should go according to plan.”
Jetfire- “Whatever. I’m just glad that when this whole thing goes wrong, I won’t be the one responsible for it.”
Skyefire- “You mean IF something goes wrong. Anyway, I’ve got to get back to work. Ratchet will be here soon, and I still need to finish up the designs for this EMP blaster.”
Jetfire- “ Oh yeah, I forgot. Your little friend did let you do the majority of the designing for the one bot. That’s the one you went to the designs our ancestor created for inspiration. Not sure why though, as they were deemed a failure.”
Skyefire- “You’re forgetting that the Dinobots weren’t a complete failure. They’re still considered a valuable piece to the cause.”
Jetfire- “Yeah, you have somewhat of a good point there, but they still can’t be controlled. At least you’ve been able to fix the problems for this project.”
Buzzzzzz(sound of door about to open)
Skyefire- “That should be Ratchet now. I was hoping he would give me a little more time on this, so I could double check some things, but as I’ve already delayed this twice, I shouldn’t hold things up any longer.”
The door to the lab opens up, allowing Ratchet to enter. He has a slightly impatient look to him, as if he’s done this too many times before.
Ratchet- “Skyefire, are you ready? I’m not sure Prime will be able to handle another delay with this project.”
Skyefire- “Yeah, everything is set to go as planned. I just finished the plans on the EMP blaster.”
Jetfire- “Well, good luck to you two. I should go get some work done on my part of this whole plan. After all, I am the one in charge of training these bots in combat once they’re built.”
All three bots leave the lab. Jetfire on his way to his private bunker, and Skyefire and Ratchet on their way to another lab to begin work on building three new Autobot warriors. When they finally got to their destination, Wheeljack and Sentinel Prime were already there waiting for them.
Sentinel Prime- “Finally. I was beginning to think that there was going to be yet another delay.”
Ratchet- “No sir, we decided to take some secret passageways, so that there would be less of a chance that the Decepticons could steal the plans from us, sir.”
Wheeljack- “Let’s just hope that this goes better than the last time something like this was attempted. We don’t need any more primitives running around.”
Skyefire- “Trust me. We’ll get the good attributes of the Dinobots, without the negatives. That and I’ve only included some of their aspects into one of the three bots.”
Sentinel Prime- “Let’s all hope so. If something goes wrong with this, then I’m not sure what we’ll do next. The sooner we get this done and over with, the sooner we can end this war. I’ll be in my office if I’m needed. I have some work of my own dealing with this project and the future of our kind.”
Securing the lab on his way out, Sentinel Prime leaves the other bots to their work.
Wheeljack- “Well, we might as well get started. After all, we have a lot of work to do.”
Skyefire- “Yeah, let’s start out with the two smaller ones, as they have a lot in common structurally. We’ll save the leader for last.”
The three bots started working on the project, not knowing the affect that it would later have on the war effort. Meanwhile, in Sentinel Prime’s office waits a patient soldier, unsure why he was called there. Sentinel Prime walks in and immediately greets him, as if to a son.
Sentinel Prime- “Orion Pax. I’m pleased to see you got my message to meet me. Please, sit down, there are some very important matters we need to discuss.”
Orion Pax- “Thank you sir. I’m confused as to why you’ve requested me. I’m just a simple foot soldier, and there are surely bound to be many more qualified bots for whatever you have brought me here for.”
Sentinel Prime- “Does that mean you are unwilling to help me then?”
Orion Pax- “No sir. I’m just not sure that I’m the best bot to help you with something as important as your message implied.”
Sentinel Prime- “No, you are the most qualified bot for the job. That is, if you’re still willing to take it.”
Orion Pax- “Of course I am sir. I wouldn’t dream of turning down an important job from you sir. Whatever it is, I’ll gladly do it.”
Sentinel Prime- “Good. There is one last thing before I can tell you what the mission is. This is a completely top secret and very important mission. Thus you cannon tell anyone about it. Not even your best friend Dion, who will be working with you, but will not know the true nature of what you are doing. Is that clear?”
Orion Pax- “Yes sir.”
Sentinel Prime- “Very well. I’ll get straight to the point. Your mission is to train a new Special Forces group that is currently being built as we speak. You will be training them in combat, teamwork, and survival skills alongside Jetfire, Skyefire, Elita-1, and your friend Dion. There are aspects of their purpose that will remain a secret from you, but you must understand that is the best for security. If the Decepticons found out about this project, it would ruin any affect it would have on the war effort. Do you understand what I’m asking you to do?”
Orion Pax- “Yes sir. You’ve made it perfectly clear. I will do my best to do this for you.”
Sentinel Prime- “Good. Now, if you will excuse me, I have yet more work to do on my own. Thank you for seeing me today.”
Orion Pax leaves the office and heads back to his bunker to try and fully process what he’s going to be doing. Several weeks go by with little or no mishaps. The three new bots are built to specifications laid out months in advance, and with some of the most advanced technology known to cybertronian scientists. The three tired bots finally put their tools down as two more bots walk in.
Skyefire- “They’re finished sir. All that’s left to do is put sparks in them.”
Sentinel Prime- “Good. A little behind schedule, but you’ve been able to make up a little bit of time in the production stage. This is Orion Pax by the way. He’s going to be one of the bots training the team.”
Skyefire- “Let’s hope that he gets along well with my brother. He’s almost always had a problem with working on a team.”
Wheeljack- “They’re all hooked up and ready sir.”
Ratchet- “Yeah, we’ve got everything set up like specified sir.”
Sentinel Prime- “Good work. Let’s finally bring these bots online and introduce them to the world they’re going to help protect.”
Sentinel Prime activates the device attached to all three of the bots lying on the lab tables, thus giving each as park, and waking up three new Autobot warriors. The three new bots sit up as Wheeljack, Ratchet, and Skyefire detach them from the device and Sentinel Prime greets them for the first time in their lives.
Sentinel Prime- “Welcome my fellow Autobots. As you know, I am Sentinel Prime, your leader. You know this and many other things because you have been programmed with a certain amount of knowledge. These three bots here are Wheeljack, Ratchet, and Skyefire, your builders. Skyefire was also the bot who designed you. This here is Orion Pax, who is going to be one of your trainers. If you have any questions, feel free to ask these three. Orion Pax and myself have some work elsewhere to attend to, but we will meet again.
Sentinel Prime and Orion Pax exit the lab, leaving the newly created Autobot warriors with their creators.
Wheeljack- “Sorry to be leaving so soon after finishing, but I’ve got some business of my own that needs attending to.
Wheeljack leaves the lab and goes to his bunker.
Skyefire- “So, any questions guys?”
Ratchet- “Anything at all?”
Raven-XL7- “What’s our purpose in life?”
Skyefire- “Well…that’s a little tough to answer at the moment. That’s something you’ll learn as time goes by.”
Over the next couple of weeks the three bots bonded and got to know each other so well, they were like brothers. It was easier for Warpdrive and Thunderbolt to relate to each other, as they were based off of the same structure type, but Raven was able to relate to his teammates over time. Only a month after their activation they were ready for combat training.
Orion Pax- “Hello. My name is Orion Pax, and I will be one of your combat trainers along with Jetfire, Skyefire, and Dion. I will also be one of your counselors along with Elita-1. It will be our job to prepare you for your top-secret missions. Specifically, I will be here to overlook your training and to make sure everything goes according to the plan.”
Jetfire- “As your commanding officer, it’ll be my job to train you in all forms of combat, so that if you need to face any Decepticons, you’ll be able to handle the situation.”
Skyefire- “ As one of the scientists who created you, it’ll be my job to train you to repair yourselves and fellow teammates in several different situations.”
Dion- “As requested by Prime, I will be training you to survive in several situations where you would need to resort to primitive means of survival.”
Elita-1- “As a specialist in cybernetic analysis, it’ll be my job to prepare you for the mental strain of combat and many other situations that you may run into during your missions.”
Orion Pax- “Now that you know what we’ll be doing for the next several years, are there any questions before we begin?”
Raven-XL7- “I have one sir. Why have my teammates and myself been kept a secret from the rest of our Autobot brethren?”
Orion Pax- “Raven, I’m sorry to say this, but even I don’t know the answer to that question. Sentinel Prime has put a lot of emphasis on keeping you three a secret, but has yet to give a reason why.”
Over the next decade the three teammates were trained in all forms of combat, taught how to repair themselves and others in several different situations, and prepared for the many possible situations they would possibly face in their future missions. They developed their several special abilities to the point of being experts in what they did. Even though they knew they would never see the Autobots that they would soon be fighting to protect, they still had each other. Which was enough for them to continue their training.
