Alright. When deciding how I would set up the first episode I was going to have Bumblebee walk in on one of those wacky punchlines like "So the popsicle says, 'no, I'm blue!'." but the more I thought about it I remembered that in "The Breakfast Club" Judd Nelson's character is trying to escape via the ceiling and is telling this joke, he falls through the ceiling just after saying what Hot Rod said and we never find out what the end of the joke was. I didn't do an obscure reference just to see if anyone could find it, but with my sense of irony and humor, expect other such "easter eggs" in the future.

Why thank you! Unfortunately my shots of the transformation sequence/Arnval jumping away didn't turn out so well but I was still able to bring the funny without them. Plus, much less effects work necessary. ;)

I have 2 Arnvals (and 2 Starfs) since Konami kinda screwed me over with the first time I entered the codes and wouldn't release my original account or give me the codes back. I needed blank bodies so I went ahead and bought them again. All the spare Arnval & Strarf parts end up in the same bin so that gives a total of 2 sets of 4 pairs of hands.

I'm glad people are enjoying it! Now, as for the photo area setup for Ep 5... I finally got my semi-permanent setup on my desk (covered the back and sides of the hutch with white foamboard) which gives me more room than standing in front of my monitors (Ep 1 [with a piece of paper blocking the view] & 3), and more height than the lightbox (Ep 2 & 4), and I can't really set the lightbox anywhere that has a steady flat surface because it's kinda bulky.

I'm thinking another sheet of foamboard for the bottom of the desk after pulling out that ring for cabling so it sits flat and doesn't have a hole in the floor. Do you think it would be better if I got some more colored posterboard (like the blue in my lightbox) to place over the foamboard?

Hmm. I don't use a blank backdrop for my comics. Only for the more artsy-fartsy stuff like my diecast cars. However my carpet is a neutral beige and the color does seem to help. I guess choose whatever works best for your camera.

Ah yes. The hazardous combination of pets and toys. My Shetland Sheepdog must investigate whenever something makes it way into his territory on the floor and inveritably knocks stuff over. Once he's convinced its not edible though, he'll lay quietly on the nearby rug. :)

This one might require a bit of explanation.

In Battle Rondo (the game you get to play by buying Busou Shinkis) they have a set Battery life, after you've trained/battled enough that battery is depleted and you need to recharge them. In the game they each have a cradle (on the left) but in Real Life you have to buy them seperately so I have only one. So that leaves my AA/AAA charger, my mouse charger, and the phone/bluetooth headset charger which is what Strarf is holding.

Thanks for the setup comment. I picked up a graphics tablet this weekend to make editing the photos much quicker. The "Desk" is actually just the drumset turned on it's side then colorized brown instead of red.

Not only do they have the posability factor, but they are comparable sizewise to most TFs as well. So the Shinkis don't look as odd interacting with them.

There is no back story, no, at least not this soon into their existence as a toy-line but it's more than them just running around shooting each other for no reason. The player is the trainer of these little arena combatants.

The toys are "actually" 1:1 scale from the game. You input the codes into the game and it unlocks the character, so you configure and train your "Armored God Princesses" (that's what Busou Shinki roughly translates to) and pit them against other people in an arena to further hone skills and gain levels etc. Training stunts their AI, and they can't gain HP & SP through it. Arena fights against other people has no restriction. There's also unlockables as you complete certain achievements.

Arena battles are for 10 rounds, 1-3 4-6 7-10 are the phases and you can tell them what you want them to do during that phase. High Attack, High Accuracy, High Dodge, High Guard, Try different things & "Do as you please". Then how often they use any skills they have, As much as possible, Normally, Sparingly, Do not use.

Each one has a different personality which you will learn as you train them so in addition to them being more proficient with certain types of weapons, they are also more proficient doing certain kinds of things during the battles. Due to the different personalities they don't always do what you tell them if they don't like it. Big surprise, Strarf is the biggest offender of "screw you I'm doing what I want". After the battle they ask for your input and give you various choices on how to compliment or chastise their performance.

I didn't watch all your vids, so it might be stupid question, but I wanted to ask before I forgot about it, and if I buy any of these, I want to be able to use the online stuff.
