Continuity time:

Backstory: Long after the Autobots and Decepticons fought for power, there were new dominant factions. The factions of modern day are BLOO (As the founder has since been killed, they do knot know what it stands for. BLOO was founded by an Autobot survivor) and the Neo-Decepticons (Based off the beliefs of Megatron). BLOO is currently led by Captain BLOO (It's a title) and the Neo-Cons are led by Nemesis, one of the few remaining Decepticons on the planet.

Nemesis has one and only one goal. To capture the Chosen One. The one of the prophecies that will eliminate the Neo-Decepticons. All he knows is that the Chosen One does not know his identity as of yet, but Captain BLOO does. Cannonball is Nemesis's most loyal follower, and second-in-command. Unfortunately, he crashed his ship, and will be a landlubber for a while longer.

Captain BLOO also has one and only one goal. To keep the Chosen One away from Nemesis. This will prove to be a chore for the Captain, because his forces are widely outnumbered by Nemesis's dominant army.

Um... That's what Roy's for. I'll use him more for funny later, but I couldn't introduce Landquake and co. without having someone other than the Captain explaining it. (or taking 3 more updates)

Thanks :thumb Let's just say his ship will take a lot of editing to feature, so I'm thinking 2-3 panels at most for it. I was looking for a way to remove it, while still featuring it, and this just happened to be the most convenient. #3 will be coming soon (no pictures taken, and I can't decide between the team returning, Dropkick's infiltration, or Cannonball's ship- The ship will probably be next, because it's easily the funniest of the 3.)

Thanks. I plan on using Omega Sentinel for various things, just because it's so versatile. This idea came to me while I was thinking of boats for Cannonball to have, and since he is fairly high up in the ranks, he needed an appropriate ship. I hope I can keep up with the standard I've set for myself... The next humorous thing I can think of is probably going to be in part 7 (beginning of chapter 1)... Unless I decide to rush things along, which would involve finding someone that can get an upgrade... I could probably do it with Landquake in part 7/8...

I found the idea of Payload as a lunatic to be very amusing. The toy already had some personality, but giving him a completely different style was a great idea! :D

Well, I wrote the next 7 parts today during some downtime... It's just a matter of putting them into comic form. I plan on throwing in a Payload joke during the jailbreak, if all goes according to plan.

:thumb He's probably even more balanced then Classics Mirage, who was probably the most well balanced Transformer of recent years. The only problem with Landmine is the skate-feet making him slightly hard to pose

You are right about both Landmine and Mirage. I have seen and tested Mirage's level of balance and it is incredible. Mirage is, without a doubt, one of the best deluxe toys ever released. :D Will you be using Landmine in your comic?

I see the link now. It's rather small though. You could try changing the text to the name of your comic thread, and place it above the link to your sales thread or under your signature picture. It might also help to actually make your signature picture itself a link to your comics! :D I've found a few good comic threads that way, and it makes it easier for other members to get to your comics as well.

As for getting a Landmine, when I see that bad boy I'm getting 2! Beachcomber & Wheeljack were my first ever TF's and one of the Landmines is getting a paintjob!

On to the Payload joke, I had to grab my fig off the shelf to get the joke, as I don't play with him too much, but that was a great line.

Thanks for the recog on reading your thread, I'm enjoying it and all the nuances are intriguing to say the least. I just quickly looked thru the postings, and I'm guessing that MintyBB is your girlfriend, right? seems like the only other consistent multiple poster 'sides me n Icespark.


Might I just add a wee bit of hints to your pics? the text boxes are great, but to see more of the bots, you could use a little smaller font and smaller text box, cuz Spyshot's line was about the right size, just for the background it would've been perfect, the text you used in part 6 was awesome, especially with the little lines telling us who's talking. That way you can put the text anywhere and we still see the action.

Yeah, MintyBB is my girlfriend. I'm still working on the text problem, but I think the next portion may have fixed it... It's just a matter of coloring the text in such a way it can be seen on the background... When I work on these, they're practically full screen (camera uploading issue, can't be fixed) so I try my best to plan them out first, and then add the stuff, but apparently that isn't working...

Megatron is a low general. He isn't "the" Megatron, per se, but he does have a lot of Megatron's qualities. Think of it like naming someone after a president/celebrity/other leader. I don't know if I made it clear or not, but there's actually 3 groups, all claiming to be the real Neo-Decepticons. Galvatron's got the power, Cannonball's got the title, Scourge/Sharkticon/Megatron did the dirty work for their leaders and want some recognition.

I'll see about making a sig for myself sometime soon. Maybe now... The monkey butt scanner pic seems sig worthy...

The Chosen One says his name's Ironhide in the 2nd strip. The lower officers are another group (mostly) because Scourge is the one that actually killed Nemesis. Sharkticon and Megatron went along with him because they could. Dropkick will probably end up fighting for all 3 sides at once, just to screw things up more. I should have another small update coming later, but not quite yet.

He's the only one with any medical knowledge at all, so they made him the medic. So he pretty much blows the crap out of you and then puts you back together. If anyone noticed, I made them break out of Prison A for a reason. There's a Prison B that contains other people of interest :D (That's still a ways off, but I do have some stuff for later)

Plus, a little help for you on the pics, do you know what the 'Macro' function on the camera is? if not I'll tell you anyways, it's the 'Flower' icon, and it's meant to be used when you are within a foot of the target, so for your last pic of voyager Ironhide, the closeup of his face, if you use the macro setting, it will come out as a clean crisp closeup. I also just noticed that there is another pic after that one, but you need to repost it cuz imageshack didn't link to it correctly. hope that helps.

I had it on macro but hit the top of the chest instead of the head and I didn't feel like retaking it.

Snarl is a Toys Dream Project exclusive from Japan. It's limited but not insanely limited. BBTS clearanced it out for like $18 a while back but now the price is up. I like it better than the original deco (that I also have and will use in Snarl's history) and like I said... It's a camera whore. All I have to do is have a camera close to it and I have some wierd impulse to take its picture.

Now I'll violate everything that makes sense to me and leave off with a cliffhanger.

If you don't try to emulate others' bios, then you'll really have created something, Snarl is such a cool fig, and the background you've just provided for him and Bloo, you should make the bios all your own, IMO. If they end up looking similar to someone elses, oh well. But I think that your own version would come with it's own uniqueness, and I'd like to see that.

Backstory:
Nemesis and Landquake signed it to express rules of war and reasons to end peacetime to go to war. As we will see (spoiler) Landquake is against space travel, so he (Landquake) found no reason to care what happened in space. Nemesis didn't like the idea of mass-shifting on Cybertron because he was afraid it would be used against him (I tried to make it out that he was a paranoid ruler). They agreed it would be allowed for anyone that isn't a citizen of Cybertron, who they assumed was no one at the time. I will say Animated Starscream and Incinerator are the only ones that are able to mass-shift, being the only ones from space. Snarl didn't know about the existance of the document because he was imprisoned when it was signed.

Yeah, I made all that up, but it all fits, especially with the spoilers.

I think what he means is that in pic 2 Dropkick is standing right next to Galvatron, and must be a decepticon, yet after the battle he is being towed and (presumably) is an Autobot. So what's up with that? (I'm wondering that myself)

As for the Bee, I saw that he got on the wrong side of a beat-down in that battle, so I was quite pleased that he's getting towed also.

Oh, and before I forget...Yeeaaaah, Suuuure.

(my point is, when you run out of ideas, this is an excellent side story to fill in, or you could even do the classic cliffhangers where you almost show the end of the battle, then jump to surgery on SS, stuff like that.)

I don't remember Spyshots accidental decapitation, if is was buried amongst a lot of other details, they are easy to overlook. But I also have another reason...and hopefully you take this in a positive manner, but a lot of your pics are just a bit blurry, and some small stuff like a bot missing his head, unless it is mentioned, or has some effects put to it dramatically advertising it just can't be seen very well. I don't know if you have a tripod, but I know that you can buy one for $15 or less, put the camera on timer and you'd eliminate the blurriness. I like the lighting you have for the most part, but if you have a darker pic and it turned out just a bit blurry, I mostly read the words and that makes the pic understandable, then move on to the next pic.

d00d, at this point you could tell me the comic sucks and I'd take it in a positive manner. I'll see about busting out the tripod next time I take pics (if I can find it...) for this. I can't really tell what's blurry and what isn't when I take the pics cause the little screen on the camera sucks.

As for Spyshot's accidental decapitation, it was right in the midst of everything, as a bit of Shakespearian comic relief. Refer to post 79 for the details. Doesn't surprise me it was overlooked. I probably found it funnier than it should have been (try posing a figure on a very smooth but uneven surface. It's not easy) because everyone in the "bunker" setting would always slide.

As for the tollerance of Spyshot's IQ... That was something you'd only get from reading it. It's not like Snarl pulls a gun and threatens death when he tells someone to shut up. I will tell you (no sense making you read page 1-now) Longview is the only one that has lashed out at Spyshot at this point and Longarm actually expressed his version of sympathy when Spyshot was decapitated.

Let's get a running list of things I should strive to improve on going... Then I have it all in one place and don't have to dig...
1. Plot holes
a. Build team went missing
b. Incinerator/Starscream (working on it)
c. Spyshot (covered later)
d. Snarl is the only techno-organic being (no one noticed that either, eh?)
2. Blurriness
3. Is the text still hard to read? I can do bubbles again (not dirty-looking, like they were) or I can work with more consistant backgrounds to keep 1 color easy to read throughout... I'm more than willing to improvise or whatever to make improvements.

If it's for the good of the group, I could just bring in Unicron and abruptly end this story... It wouldn't be too much of a problem to start fresh (at least on my end)

Also, I'm upgrading to GIMP so I can use Polenicus's tutorials he may/may not continue posting (all I've seen is the explosion one)

Might want to include characters names a bit more though, as some secondary folks, or large groups make figuring who said what a bit tuff.

Still overall quite impressive IMO. Takes guts to put it out there for all to see, and I know I'm not quite ready to do that...

Just so we're on the same page, Nemesis found no need to advance technology, as it was about as badass as it needed to be at the time. Spyshot-ese was pretty much adopted from the LOLGear thread. It was one of those "good luck getting him to be taken seriously" things, so I went with what was established (and that twist...). I'm quite fond of the "HAY GUISE" lines, personally.

I thought that the 5th panel was actually quite relevant. Sets up the Bloo members a way to get off of Cybertron, since with the mass shifting they should all be able to fit into Incinerator, and with SS becoming a member, they would have his expertise in navigating space and finding a suitable place to rebuild their forces...kinda makes the 5th panel highly important in that sense.

First of all, that is a brilliant upgrade for Tony! :D I never noticed the similarities between those two toys before, but it is a very fitting both visually, and story-wise! :) I also liked the surprise Spyshot had in store for everyone, he really is hilarious! :D About your poll, I would vote for either of two things. First, C, only using very proper and dignified English. So proper, it confuses anyone they speak to. In turn, have Spyshot able to understand them perfectly, but do not let them understand him! I know it would be difficult to write, but it could result in hilarity! I do realize that this would go against what Starscream spoke of earlier, but it would in turn open the door to another story-telling possibility of explaining how these others suddenly became so well versed in grammar. In contrast, although it would be difficult, it would be very interesting if these characters spoke half English and half Spanish, or half English and half Japanese. Please remember though, these are your comics, and the final decision is up to you! Write the stories you want to write, and make the comics you want to make! :D I'm certain that whatever you decide on, the results will be great! :D I continue to look forward to seeing more of your comics! :D
