From the reviews, it managed to be worse than an Uwe Boll movie.

I don't think anybody here bothered to see it.

I had hoped that this was going to be based on the DC title wirtten by Garth Ennis. When I found out it was based on the video game, I immediately lost all interest. Video Game movies are never good. NEVER.

Silent Hill was pretty good.
DOA is great with the sound off.

Though I don't have great expectations for Hitman.

Mortal Kombat. The first one.

That is all.

Actually, I liked Silent Hill a lot- it barrowed just the right amount from the game, including the soundtrack, which worked great. The first Mortal Kombat was a movie staple for my teen years, and the first and third Resident Evils were entertaining. Advent Children was also great if you can look past the fan fodder. Of course, any of these movies are enjoyable to watch for me, and I am not saying they are going to win over critics or anything. Regardless, I have no interest in Hitman- never cared about the game, and he should have been played by someone more intimidating yet sophistaced- niether of which I get from the guy they picked.

i think the reason most video game adaptations are full of fail is because of the aforementioned uwe boll. he pumped out so much crap in so little time that he ruined the market. my only hopes are that the impending halo movie is good and possibly the warcraft movie, at least they aren't boll movies

From what I've heard of Uwe Boll, it was better than that. A bit.

Shoulda been Tommy Monaghan, though. Tommy Monaghan and a completely different script, crew and actors.

A local reviewer gave it four out of five stars. But then again, the guy is an idiot. >_<

Can't say yet, it has premiere nov. 30th in Denmark...but I'm looking forward to watch it. I liked the Hitman games (mostly 1 & 4) from danish IO-interactive.

I'm hoping the upcoming Max Payne movie will be a blast... I really dig that story line of the 1st game.

And.. whatever happened to the plans about American McGee's Alice ? that would be soooo cool to watch :)

Oh yeah, the ADR is fucking ridiculous. Like, kung-fu movie dub job bad. It's like the non-Russian actors they brought to Russia to portray Russians couldn't do a good Russian accent, so they hired someone with a bad Russian accent to try and dub over top of it, but they'd have been better served by sticking with the original recordings, or, I don't know, hiring some friggin' Russians.

I acually like this movie, the way they tryed to be serious only made it much more enjoyable.

As for MK,the first one was good, the second felt like a live-action game demo, and I heard that there was a third one in the works.

Not much of a FF fan but Advent children was great at being over the top.

Just finished watching it...I have to say that was a pretty good movie. I liked the ending, and it had very good action. Add that one to the very small list of enjoyable video movies. Compared to Uwe's films, Hitman looked like Dr. Strangelove.

I got a free ticket in my dvd of Live Free or Die Hard for this, not sure if I'm actually going to use it for this movie or slip into something else that looks better, not even sure whats playing at the moment.

I've never played the game, so I guess I will pass on this one, although I never played Silent Hill before watching the movie and I loved it.

It wasn't good by any means but I thought it was pretty entertaining.

It's also one of the most hilariously misogynistic movies ever made. Seriously, ever.
