I still don't care for the deliberately cut up mouth or the fact his white "skin" is makeup. Seems every time Hollywood decides to aim for "realism" it ends up looking ugly. What happened to the imagination in Hollywood?

I think this is the best marketing I have seen for a movie in a long time. Cant wait.

Judging by the socks I'd say a full body Joker pic.

I'm on the fence about the new Joker look also, but I'll wait for the final product before throwing a tantrum.

I love the new Joker look. He actually looks psychotic and frightening, which is kind of the point. I love the cut smile as well.

Let's face it, the whole point behind Nolans Batman films is to portray the story as if it could actually happen in the real world. The idea of a guy falling into a vat of chemicals and coming out ALIVE, let alone conveniently coloured white, green and red in all the right places, is ludicrous.

As I've said before Nolan knocked the first one out of the park, I have confidence that what he decides is what is good for the movie honestly.

Im taking my chancces with the wind as begins was awesomely good.
HOWEVER Im completely in the fence as while theres been pictures of mr j there none of them depict a clear look....give me a clear look? Ill still watch anyway, good or bad.

Though I may get out of the movie saying "that wasnt joker."

I don't much like the new Joker's looks but anything's better than Nicholson Joker imo.

The looks are only half of the Joker. Doesn't matter how he looks, if he doesn't act like the Joker. The Joker is a psychotic serial killer at his worst with a chilling calling card, I really hope we see some grinning victims in this movie.

As I've said before Nolan knocked the first one out of the park, I have confidence that what he decides is what is good for the movie honestly. As much as I loved Buton's Batmans and Nicholson as the Joker. I have faith in Nolan to make this a good movie. I am not sold on Heath Ledger as the Joker, but I will give it a shot.

He doesn't scream comic-book Joker, but he is a Joker nonetheless. Green hair, white face and creepy smile easily give it away. It will be interesting to see if Nolan is able to portray the Joker as Batman's nemesis or just another villain (Scarecrow). I am really looking forward to every Joker line in the movie.

Works for me. He fits with Nolan's version of Batman which is what really counts here. He looks clown-like, insane and the first thing that comes to mind when I see him is the Joker, so I'm content. In fact, I'm glad they didn't go for an over-the-top look when the first film was so focused on making the Batman universe very low-key.

From the teaser trailer's voice clip, and all these pictures, I'm getting a distinct Beetlejuice vibe from the Joker.

Disheveled clothes? Messy green Ludwig Von Beethoven hair? Panda bear eye shadow? Even sounds like Beetlejuice...

Maybe it's just me, but I'm sorta wishing they just asked Michael Keaton to reprise his Beetlejuice role and call him Joker.

Michael Keaton? In a Batman movie? That's crazy talk.

I agree...this Joker doesn't look like comic Joker but he sure is pretty "scary" and "psycho-looking"! I'm looking forward to the movie!
