i just wanted you guys to know that its friggin annoying how TFNEWS keep popping up when you hit the new post function.

You said "new post function". Are you creating a new post, viewing new posts in thread? What forum is this happening in, just the news forum? Is it constant everytime you do this? Have you deleted your cookies, logged out/in?

I use IE 6 at work and Firefox at home and haven't seen this error you speak of so you'll have to give me a play by play.

its that button between 'members list' and 'search'.

user cp - faq - members list - NEW POSTS - search - quick links - log out

i just thought it was a bug or sum'in.

AH, I know what it is now. We changed the way our news system works slightly (on our end, not yours), and your seeing the auto-generated news posts for the frontpage. That's what that is.

It's weird, stuff that was months old was showing up.

I'm not on firefox right now, so I can't see if it's still doing it, but TFNEWS was accounting for about half of the new post search results.

No, those were just added to the system so show up as new posts.
And it's not an IE problem.
We're working on converting the front page system over to full VB, until this is done the front page posts will show up time to time as we update the front page.
