News and Rumours - Actually just News

Random question, thought this might be the place to ask it.

So we have a section called "News and Rumours" - but it seems that every thread about rumours gets locked because it's not news. Is there some kind of "rumour locking guide" as such? Or is it left to the discretion of the staff? Maybe it should just be renamed to News and News?

Staff makes judgement call on per rumor thread basis as to whether or not the post has a shread of credibility. If they deem it so, then it stays. If they smell BS, then it goes.

Not a pinpoint method, but it generally does the trick.
