TFW2005's Radicons Section is proud to present their featured Radicon for October, your fellow board member dak. dak is well known for many of his customs that have an immense amount of complexity, notably his Nova Prime that won first prize contest at Botcon this year. He is active in the customs community as a contributing Radicon, a senior staff member of TFcon, and a Super Moderator at Cybertron.CA, TFW2005.com's Canadian sister site.

We previously reported that Paramount was offering a disk replacement service for people who bought the Transformers Cybertron: The Ultimate DVD Collection and experienced an error where the first part of the episode "Hidden" was cut off. With thanks to 2005 Boards Member bourdon, we can now confirm that the replacement disks have now begun to arrive! Has yours arrived too? Sound off on our 2005 Boards!

Transformers @ The Moon's sister site, Transformersanimated.com, has received a special sneak preview of Animated Sideswipe, an all-new character who will be debuted in the first issue of Titan UK's Transformers Animated comic, which goes on sale on October 23rd. Sideswipe appears for the first time in the story "Sideswiped", written by Simon Furman and drawn & inked by John McCrea.

Simon Furman has updated his blog with a teaser of Transformers Spotlight: Sideswipe, the final chapter in the Revelations saga, due out this Wednesday in the US. The blog post contains an impressive list of characters to expect to see, as well as a tantalising hint about a new take on the relationship between the Autobot brothers Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. Be warned, some of the information in this blog post may be considered a spoiler!

Yesterday we reported that Transformers Animated was on the verge of being dropped in the UK. With major thanks to the folks at Transformers @ The Moon it can now be confirmed that this is not true. Transformers Animated will continue to be sold in the UK, with deluxe wave 4.5 merely being delayed until November.

Today it's a nice set of images of the only known Universe new mold in Voyager size, Inferno. He's considered a Generation 2 homage as the 1993 version had a water gun feature on top of the truck, replicated here with a water-shaped missile!
The other new toy we see is Universe Special Edition Drag Strip, a repaint of Classics Mirage in his signature yellow. Check out all the mirrored photos at left, or the original threads linked above!

TFW2005 sponsor BigBadToyStore has put up new pre-orders for several new Animated and Universe figures, some of which have showed up in computer listings, been confirmed by Hasbro, or are a completely new revelation. Animated Deluxe Wave 6 will feature Waspinator and Samurai Prowl. Animated Voyager Wave 6 will feature Wreck-Gar and Atomic Lugnut. Roadbuster Ultra Magnus is also up for pre-order. With the Universe line, Universe Voyager Wave 5 will feature Leo Prime and Overload. Universe Legends Wave 5 will feature Autobot Cosmos, Autobot Wheelie, Rodimus, and Warpath. All the new figures from these pre-orders are due out in January 2009.

Another new Transformers Universe toy has been released. This time it's Treadbolt, found by our own Otispq at the Orem, Utah Walmart. Treadbolt is a repaint of Classics Jetfire and an homage to the Micromaster Air Patrol's Treadbolt!

TFW user Red leader reports that Transformers Animated is in danger of being cancelled in the UK. Vendors have been informed that they should not be accepting pre-orders on the upcoming wave 4.5 as the line may be discontinued before then. Sorry news for UK fans. An article from kotaku.com reports that Stan Bush has contacted Activision about featuring his song "The Touch" on one of the games from their "Guitar Hero" series. Do you want to rock out to the legendary track from the original Transformers Movie? Contact the makers of Rock Band and Guitar Hero and let them know!

The bundle will contain both previous packaging from the releases, either bound side-by-side or back-to-back with no additional content. For those fans who have held off on getting either set in order to have the first 16 episodes (considered by some to be the full first season) in one set, this set may be your best chance. This bundle will be released on January 6th, 2009, the same day as the release of the Transformers Animated: Season 2 DVD box set.

Yesterday, Paramount and DreamWorks SKG struck a deal that ends a partnership between the two production groups. Steven Speilberg, along with his other co-founders, will form an independent studio that is backed by Indian conglomerate Reliance. There are agreements in place that allow DreamWorks to co-produce and co-distribute several titles and DreamWorks will lead the production of several upcoming movies. Additionally, Steven Speilberg will continue to act as an executive producer on all Transformers movies although Paramount will continue to produce the movie series.
